Individual teachers are like different styles of music – you either “get” them or you don’t. If you really “get” a teacher, you may think that he or she is the most wonderful being that God ever created, and you will fly to his or her defense against anyone who even hints otherwise. If you don’t “get” a teacher at all, you may become so indignant as to think that he or she is the worst charlatan who ever walked the face of the earth. Of course, for most of us mortals the truth is somewhere in between.
